Kleincrew (klein-crew) review (polina)

I don't think I have ever dealt with anyone who was so devoid of business and customer basics.  I started this trade in October 2013, it is now  April 2014. i had not heard the rumors and like most of you was impressive with her work. we agreed to swap a cosplay doll outfit for one of my 3d printed ball jointed my little ponies. I placed the order and bout the expensive doll print, little did I  know of the rumors around her at that time.  Communication was beyond difficult, it was like talking to a wall. I had asked simple questions like do you need my doll measurements, or what dolls so you have similar so that I knew it would fit properly. I asked several times and it all went unanswered along with pretty much everything I asked for.  I was given her skype so we could communicate better, even on skype when we were directly talking I got no answers, the most I got out of her was when I mentioned the rumors and she was clearly frustrated over it. Willing to give the person a chance, I soft stepped, thinking maybe she was just burned from the experience.  still nothing and no replies, I had to practically pull teeth to get a quick shot of some mystery fabric and cut out paper shapes...when I asked what I was seeing so I could verify, again...nothing... I thought since when wasn't on much that I should cast a wider net, someone mentioned that she frequented such and such a place.... So With an apology I sent out my message to several spots explaining that It was just to make sure she got my message (she did reply at one of the spots, so I assume she read the message explaining it, but I assume she read all the messages, don't know why she never replied to me)....during the entire time, she was always posting pictures of her dolls on many locations including where I messaged her.  Finally I had enough and told her I was honestly upset with the way she was treating me and the trade and that I would like her to answer me, an update of new work, answers to my questions, within the week. Like before I sent this to a couple places to try and reach her.

I got a vague message back saying she couldn't comply with my orders and said sorry but the trade was now cancelled.... You can't give me an update on the work and answer a few basic and important questions?

I tried several more posts to try and work things out, apologizing if I let any frustration through to my message and explained why I was frustrated. I also explained once again that I had already paid for he part of the commission and did the work. I offered the possible resolution if she would pay for the doll, even at a discount to count for any "work" that she might have done to be fair as a solution and told her I didn't want to leave a bad review if I had to.... i heard from a second hand person that she posted that "someone" had spammed her with messages and it was too bad cause their item was almost done.... I can only assume that was me. I sent another message apologizing and explaining that I had done it several months ago and explained then that it was only trying to reach her and that the it was not done out of malice or any ill content. She even admitted that she was hard to reach.

I waited almost a week with no word from her so I can only conclude that she was stringing me along. I even asked that she explain, and told her that if you explained and communicated with people they would be more open to working with you no matter what the problems are. Again the brick wall.... I don't see how she could be almost done, she has not sown me any progress, or even settled on the matter of getting my doll measurements. You really shouldn't do work unless you have assured the customer that the size will fit if they ask.....

So I dunno, I know many others have had poor experiences. I tried to give her a chance over and over again, and can only conclude that she doesn't care about her "customers" or any business etiquette.

So be cautious out there, just because it looks good, doesn't mean the person behind it is. Maybe she will change or does better with other things, but for now, I can only conclude that caring about her customers and trade partners is something she isn't interested in. I did my best to be fair and honest in this review in both sides of how I told this, there's a lot more I could say personally,  but  as a business person, this is my review and conclusion.

I had a similar situation happen to me. I commissioned doll clothes from her and it's been half a year and I've received nothing. Now she's stonewalling me. Whatever you do don't buy anything from her. Boycott Polina Kleincrew because if you give her money you'll never see it again. She's the black hole of the BJD world. I hate to give negative reviews of anyone but Ms. Kleincrew cannot do business to save her life. She is a terrible business woman.
