I think the animation is beautiful. If it is possible I would recommend slowing it down just a tad. I think doing that would help to make the flow of the opening a little more stiff, as if the springs that open the locket are a little warn from either usage or time. Try making the shooting stars smaller and not so intense a white color, remember stars are thousands of miles away, possible more then just two. I bet you could look up a meteor shower if that helps to reference. I feel that you don't have to concentrate as hard on the background, because it isn't your main focus, so maybe dull down the colors a bit so they aren't as intense as the locket. Good luck. totally know what you mean...Go fan girls go...Remebere those sighs when tuxedo mask gives this to sailormoon and she would play it and think of that tall and handsome boy.... Tuxedo mask was serously my first anime/cartoon crush.

I think the animation is too static, try animating the whole star rotating or something smooth.

About the shooting stars they look like ufo's (not a bad thing) but should be smaller and mor randomized.

Also the background could have some glow or something moving to make it feel alive.

Everything else is really nice!
